No matter what kind of organisation you have, issues like a good backup, reliability of the systems and (phone) support are essential basic needs to run your company and to which you don't want to pay too much attention. When you or one of your employees can't work or when workdays are lost because there is no (good) backup it immediately costs your more than when you have a Service Contract in which everything is clear. Secondary costs like demotivated staff and angry customers are at least that valuable.
